Last week DCN exhibited at the Anutec FoodTech Exibition in Mumbai India alongside our Indian agents EssEmm.
The majority of the people visiting our stand were from food service and central kitchens, which is no surprise as with over 1.5 Billion people in India there are a lot of mouths to feed. The products which attracted most of these customers to our stand were our Jet Cook Steam Infusion System with Braising Bar and tilting vessel, and our recently launched tilting Rice Cooking and Cooling Vacuum system capable of cooking and cooling 1000kgs of rice in 60 minutes. These two systems combined are able to cook all the varieties of gravies (curry), savoury snack fillings and the huge varieties of rice’s which form part of the daily Indian diet. We presently have two of these rice systems installed in the UK and two on route to Australia.
We have visits booked in our test kitchen already from the show and we are hoping along with our agent to convert some of the 90 enquires into trials, customers visits and quotations in the coming weeks.
