DC Norris North America to Help Manufacturers Supercharge Kettles at PACK EXPO International 2026

The company’s engineering-led team will showcase its four-brand equipment portfolio, including Jet Cook™ Next Generation Steam Injection, at Booth LU-7652, October 18–21, McCormick Place, Chicago

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. – September 14, 2026 – DC Norris North America, the exclusive distributor of DC Norris Group’s food processing equipment in the US and Canada, will exhibit at PACK EXPO International 2026, taking place October 18–21 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Whether attending manufacturers are looking to supercharge the kettles they already run or build an entirely new line, the company’s engineering team will be on-site to assist.

“We’re an engineering team first and foremost, and our number one commitment is to helping manufacturers get the most out of every piece of equipment they run. Sometimes that means designing and installing an entirely new system, and sometimes that means we help them supercharge their existing kettles,” states President Dick Smith.

At the booth, DC Norris North America will feature scale models of four in-demand systems from its portfolio: the Cook Quench Chill Adapt rice and pasta cooking system, a belt chiller, a supercharged kettle system, and an industrial-scale sous vide system. The scale model format gives visitors a close, unobstructed look at the engineering and construction behind each system, while freeing up floor space for the engineering team to have more equipment discovery conversations throughout the show.

How Does DC Norris North America Supercharge Kettles?

There isn’t one single answer. For a manufacturer looking to get more out of the kettles already on their production line, the conversation starts with Jet Cook™ Next Generation Steam Injection. Jet Cook™ nozzles can be retrofitted to kettles 80 gallons or larger, no matter who the original kettle manufacturer is. Jet Cook™ collapses steam directly into product through a patented high-shear nozzle rather than relying on a jacketed wall or external heat exchanger, which means dramatically faster cook times, eliminated burn-on contamination, lower energy use, and higher yields. It’s the idea behind the company’s “Supercharge Your Kettle” message: the equipment a manufacturer already has can often be supercharged with Jet Cook™.

“Some of the manufacturers we talk to at PACK EXPO already have a kettle running and just want more out of it. Others are standing in front of an empty space, trying to figure out what the whole line should look like,” said Matt Klein, Vice President of DC Norris North America. “Either way, the first conversation is the same: what are you trying to produce? The equipment follows from that, not the other way around.”

For Manufacturers Building Something New

The same engineering-first approach applies when a manufacturer works with DC Norris North America to build out something entirely new. As the exclusive US and Canadian distributor of the DC Norris Group’s portfolio, DC Norris North America pairs its engineering team with equipment from DC Norris, BCH, Gilwood, and AE Mixers, spanning cooking, chilling, sous vide, can handling, and material handling, to design a full line around a manufacturer’s process rather than working backward from a single brand’s catalog. The Cook Quench Chill Adapt, one of the systems on display in scale-model form at the booth, is an example of what that looks like: a single system that carries a product through cooking, quenching, and chilling in one line rather than requiring several disconnected pieces of equipment stitched together after the fact.

A Portfolio of Supercharged Kettles

DC Norris North America engineers will be available at Booth LU-7652 throughout the show to walk attendees through the scale models on display and the company’s full equipment portfolio, including kettles that offer manufacturers three ways to cook in a single kettle. Supercharged by design, DC Norris kettles can be used for pressure cooking, braising, and Jet Cooking™. That range means a single kettle can move between recipes or process steps without swapping vessels, and the team will walk attendees through how it could apply to their specific line.

Pack Expo attendees can reserve a dedicated meeting time during the show by using this scheduler.
